Measurements & Size Conversion
Measuring
Body Jewellery is measured in a specific way using
Gauge (thickness), Internal Diameter, Bar Length & Ball size.
For BCR's, Circular Barbells & circular type items
you will need to know the Gauge (thickness) in MM. The diameter is
measured internally as in the BCR example below. The Ball size is
measured in External Diameter.
For Barbells & Curved Barbells you will need to know the
Gauge (thickness) in MM, the Bar Length (from thread to thread) &
the Ball size (external diameter). For Curved Barbells (Bananas) the
length is measured as a straight line between the base of the ball /
thread on each end (see below)
Body Jewellery size is generally described in the
format:
Gauge x Length X Ball size (Barbells & Bananas)
Gauge x Internal Diameter x Ball size (Circular Barbells & BCR's)
e.g. 5mm x 19mm x 8mm (5mm bar thickness, length 19mm, ball size
8mm)
